Built for local conditions
Built for power cuts, slow links and scanned paper.
Super Intelligence (SI) built abroad assumes steady power, fast internet, clean PDFs and English. Bahlul SI assumes none of that. It runs on one server in your building, keeps answering when the internet is down, reads scanned pages in Bangla and English, and is priced in taka.
The situation
Five conditions every system here has to live with
The power cuts. The internet drops, and at a district office it may drop every afternoon. The documents that matter are scanned paper, some of it photocopied twice. One sentence mixes Bangla and English, and some Bangla is typed in Latin letters. And the budget is in taka, approved once, with no room for a dollar subscription that grows every time a new person joins.
These are the conditions of a least developed country, and they are the conditions Bahlul SI is designed for. Not as an afterthought to a product built for somewhere else, but as the starting point.
What changes
Each condition, and what Bahlul SI does about it
| The condition | What Bahlul SI does |
|---|---|
| Power cuts | An online UPS, sized for the configuration, carries the server through short cuts and shuts it down cleanly if the power stays off. The Company configuration adds a generator. A power cut and a restart are part of the acceptance test. |
| Internet that drops | Staff ask and get answers over your own network; the server does not need the internet to answer. Only updates from us, remote support and other sites wait for the link. |
| Scanned paper | It reads scanned pages as well as typed files. The test bench has a category for pages where scanning broke letters or lines, so you see how it copes with your scans before go-live. |
| Mixed Bangla and English | Staff type the way they speak. Mixed sentences and Bangla in Latin letters are a test category of their own, scored by two native Bangla reviewers. |
| Numbers, dates and calendars | Bangla and Latin digits, lakh and crore, and both calendars are a test category, because a wrong date in a circular is a wrong answer. |
| Budgets in taka | Fixed prices in taka, published, with no per-user fees. The hardware is bought once, from your supplier. Prices rise 6% each January, and not in between. |
The test categories are those of the Bangla test bench; what your acceptance test covers is agreed in writing in the SI proof.
The cost over three years
Two hundred staff, three years: a subscription against a server
What the comparison leaves out
Read the figure with these four caveats
The comparison is an estimate, and only as good as its assumptions. USD 20 per user a month is a stated assumption for a public AI tool's business plan; some tools cost less, some more, and some organisations would license far fewer than 200 seats. Tool prices and the exchange rate change without notice. The server side assumes your own IT team runs it; managed SI operations is BDT 1.8 lakh a month instead of BDT 90,000. It leaves out the briefing and the proof, BDT 6.5 lakh together, which come first, and the room, the power and your IT team's hours. GPU prices moved sharply in 2026, so ask your supplier for a fresh quote.
What the figure does show is the shape: the subscription grows with users and years; the server is bought once. It does not show the thing that usually decides the matter, which is that the subscription sends your documents abroad and the server does not.
Offline first
What runs on your network, and what waits for the link
What works offline
A day without internet, item by item
| What | Without internet | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Asking questions and getting sourced answers | Works | Over your own network, from the index on the server. |
| Signing in with your staff accounts | Works | When your account server is in the building, which it usually is. |
| Adding new documents to the index | Works | From your own network or a scanner in the office. |
| The log and the admin console | Works | Everything is recorded on the server itself. |
| Power cut and restart | Works | The UPS carries it through or shuts it down cleanly; it restarts on its own. |
| Tested updates from Bahlul World | Waits for the link | Or arrives with a visit; every update is tested before it reaches your staff. |
| Remote support by our engineers | Waits for the link | A phone call still works, and the help desk is part of SI support. |
| Another site asking the same server | Waits for the link | A second site with its own server keeps answering on its own. |
What your set-up includes is agreed in the SI server set-up; this table shows the design.
Where it sits
One server, five layers, nothing crossing the boundary
What stays with a person
Local conditions include local judgement
A scanned circular with a broken line, a question half in Bangla, a date in the Bengali calendar: these are exactly the cases where an answer should be checked. Every answer shows its page so that the check takes seconds, and a named person at your organisation approves anything that matters. Your IT team runs the server, restarts it after a cut, and can switch the model.
The first step
Test it on your own scans, for BDT 5.5 lakh
The first call is free. A half-day SI briefing with a live demo on your sample documents is BDT 1 lakh. The three-week SI proof, BDT 5.5 lakh, scores Bahlul SI on about 200 questions from your own documents, scanned pages and mixed sentences included, and sizes the server for your users with a load test. Proposed 2027 prices, before VAT.
Bring your worst scans
The proof is built from your own documents, so the ones that break other tools are the ones to bring. The first call is free, in Bangla or English.
